Hmm, saw the drive in my A6Ja running at 60 (even as high as 63) yesterday. It was sitting on a flat surface and not doing much!
Admittedly it was a hot day but it was in the shade etc.
I spoke to Asus support a couple of weeks ago about it and they reckon it is ok
I also discovered (much to my disgust) that it has a 4200rpm drive in it... grrr. I thought it came with a 5400rpm drive!
Strange thing is, my flatmate has a A6Kv (or something... Pentium M 1.73) and her drive doesn't get anywhere near the temp mine seems to (based on the highly scientific 'hand under the drive' test!).
So, I want to put a 7200rpm drive in it but it'd probably roast itself!
