Surge Protector

First I would like to say thank you to all of you... for all of the useful information you have posted here.

My first Sager (a 8890) is due to arrive tomorrow and I wanted to see what compact single-outlet surge protector you guys would recommend I use with it?

specs on my 8890: 3.4GHz, 1gb, 15", 2x 60gb-7200, BT, DVD/CD-RW, TV

Also, with regard to all of the heating concerns that keep coming up in the forum (which I am not worried about)- doesn't someone make a mini-usb/mini-pci device with a temp. probe that could be used to monitor/warn for high temps?

I'd suggest getting at least two outlets with enough power to run all your peripherals as well as your machine. Go for as high a joule rating you can get.

This Tripp-Lite looks good but I don't have any experience with it.

Its got every thing I can think of, even will protect your telephone line and has a secondary outlet for an extra phone device.

This is what I use. Only one outlet, but very portable.
