Notebook cooler with reverse fans for Toshiba?

Thread Starter
Hey folks,

Are there any notebook coolers that work well with the Toshibas (i.e., with reversed or reversible fans)? My Antec works ok, but I don't want to do damage to my built-in fan by having it "fight" with the cooler fan, since they are in opposed directions.

I need one that either reverses, or that I can flip over the fans in. My wife has the same laptop, and is in need of the same thing...

Thanks,
d

hmmm

the direction of the fans on your notebook pulls air from the bottom and then out the back correct?

Correct...well, it pulls thru the bottom and out the side, but same difference. If I could mod my Antec to reverse the fans, I would, but they are an impeller type that won't work that way :-(

any of the vantec lapcool series should be good for you...

Opening the cooler and turning the fans upside down wouldn't work?

anyone know

Does anyone know of, or can anyone reccomend a "laptop cooler" that fits the footprint of a Toshiba A75-S231?

I have been looking at getting one of those cooler thingamajigs but, they all seem like they are too small. Or is that how they are supposed to be? Does anyone use one with this model of Toshy?

Any help appreciated...

I personally use the Vantec Lapcool 2. I have the M40 which is also a 15.4 widescreen. The cooler is actually too small, but the laptop body just sits on its feet without a problem.

I posted pics a while back.... http://www.notebookforums.com/showthread.php?t=95929

Hope it helps.
