bought this off ebay a couple days ago



its listed as a Alienware 51M 766. any good?

its an awesome laptop. i have the same thing except i have the P4 3.4ghz and mine is blue. congrats!

hows it run? the owner said that the graphics disort a lil bit after a half hour of world of warcraft. im looking forward to getting it. then i can play games in bed

OT stands for "Off Topic" - it's the last section of NBF...it's where all the crazy folks hang out and chat about anything and everything. If you're sensitive, stay away They can be a wild bunch! Nice computer! Love the green. Once you get it, if you have problems with the video or anything else, there are lots of people here who will help you troubleshoot.

its gonna be better then my dell for games. i only have a 32mb video card on this one. it studders on flash games after a short period of time

and damn u for telling me about the OT section. not going back there anytime soon. im sticking to my nice safe psp forums if i wanna be really social. least the people who have posted here have been civilized

Hey, Julie...don't take anything posted in OT personally. They are just crazy and having some fun. Believe me, they're delighted to have you around...things just go off course when the group gets going.

I've no doubt you can put them in their place, should you decide you want to have some fun.

If you're ever looking for friendly chat from AW owners, visit the "There's something definitely wrong here" thread (or whatever it's called). Everyone is welcome, and it's just friendly chat - but you also get an idea of who knows their stuff.

i dunno.. guess im just sensitive to when people accuse me of being a guy. most guys assume im a faker cause im "too good to be true". i consider myself to be a rare and dying breed of hardcore gamer girl. i really dont see how they're "delighted" to have me around when theres 3 pages of abusive comments.

Okay...let me clarify. There is a fair amount of activity here where guys with regular accounts set up new accounts to scam people. The primary purpose of this is to get "Rep" points...it's silly, but bear with me. Your profile and pics fit in with this possibility...it's nothing personal...they aren't picking on "YOU." You could look at it as a compliment - folks can't believe that someone as attractive is into computers, gaming, cars and guns!

I guess what I mean by delighted is, they are really a great group of guys. They welcome the few gals who are regulars here - if you got past the whole question of "is she for real", you'd find a tremendous fan club. And, I mean that in a good way.

Even I found myself doubting whether you were for real, since you hadn't popped back in to put them in their place.

And - lol - after more than a year, I still get the "You're not a Girl" comment. Those of us who like gaming, let alone the technical part of computing...are really very much of a minority...

Hope you decide to hang around, at least in the AW section...folks here are pretty nice.

ill stick around this section. you guys been nice to me so far. i didnt even know this forum existed till i searched for "alienware forum" on google and this site popped up. ill proly be around alot more once i get my AW laptop. mostly to brag about how happy i am playing world of warcraft from the comfort of my bed. i havent "set them straight" yet cause im one who trys to avoid confrontations. i dont like to cause trouble on forums

and rememeber how the seller said "theres little graphic distorts up after a few hours" that could be a driver problem we could help ya out with too

he told me it does that after a half hour of world of warcraft with the specs turned up all the way. i think it could be related to heat. i planned on updating all the drivers anyway when i installed xp pro on it. i wanna keep it as stripped down as possible for maximum preformance
