Overclocking the 7800GTX for 2D.

Overclocking the 7800GTX for 2D. I was wondering if anyone created an image for the 7800GTX Video BIOS with overclocked 2D Settings?

The reason for me asking, is when watching a DVD Movie or an HD Trailer from quicktime, I notice a horizontal line come from up to down the screen when a scene transitions to the next every couple of minutes. Like the screen is split.

Does anyone else see these lines? I tried multiple VGA drivers, DVD apps and also output it to a CRT monitor with a high refresh rate. And can still see the lines.

I don't think overclocking your card will help any. I don't think this is a problem with your hardware but Quicktime.

With other players do you see the lines?
You using the latest version of Quicktime?
Do older versions of Quicktime do the same thing?

You could try this:

I'm using the latest 7.0 Pro edition Quicktime app. I tried Dell Media Direct 2.0, MCE, Cyberlink Power DVD 6 and WinDVD 7 to play DVD's and see lines in each app. If I play a 720p HD Trailer using quicktime I don't see the lines only playing the 1080p files I see the lines come down my screen. It's really not too noticble but once you point it out then it's easy to notice. Try a 1080p file from http://www.apple.com/trailers/ and let me know what your results are.

I stand corrected looks like you got it narrowed down to the hardware. Have you isolated it to the Video card or Monitor/LCD? If we use DVI out to a TV/Monitor does it happen? Back to your original question if you download Nibitor 2.9 here: http://www.mvktech.net/component/opt...03e8792f82de0/ You can read the bios from your vid card and then you can adjust the 2D settings. Reboot into dos and flash the changes using nvflash. I can test my e1705 tonight to see if I get this too.

You have a 7800 Go? If so I will test mine tonight and let you know. You may have a bad vid card.
