Anyone have benchmarks for the 7900GS? I'm thinking of getting the 9400 with a 7900GS.

3dmark05 on a M1710 T2500 2.0ghz, 7900gs, 80gb 5400rpm hdd, 1gb 667ram, all stock gave a score of 6344 out of the box. It was a little lower than the M170 with 2.0ghz, 1gb 533, 60gb 7k60, 7800gtx that scored 6583 all stock out of the box. I no longer have the 7900gs nor the m170 so, that's all I can give you right now. Hope it helps. i say not bad for the 7900gs but it's still missing 4 pipelines not to mention a few other things that the 7800gtx has that is for sure to show up in games at high settings.

how about a 7800 go ? how much better is 7900 gs ? is it worth $125.00 more?

I've read on these boards its roughly 10-15% better than the 7800 Go

I have seen benchmarks with 3DMark06 of 3500 and I get that with my 7800 Go.

At 350ish I don't think it is worth the money I will hold out for 7900 GTX

well i used to be a big on benchmarking spent tons of money on nice video card and nice ram and faster hd and over clocking at one point my rig had 12 fans with water cooling but now i have calmed down i dont need to run these benchamrks to play today's games my 6800 non ultra in my D810 played everything very nicely and i would have put that in my E1705 if it would have fitted but it dindt so i am getting a 7800 Go rev 2 from Curt on thsi forum and it should keep me going for a while i dont need to run all the games at everythign full all the time

Thats not with stock go7800 I presume? I have seen stock go7800 score around 2200. I`quite sure that the 7900GS can break 4000 easy with some OC

So I wonder which one will win at overclocked settings 7900GS Vs. 7800GTX. Since 7900 scales better in Overclocking cause it's 90nm vs. 110nm.

Not to shabby score with 7900GS out of the box . My M170 got ~6500 out of the box. Did you try 3dmark06? I bet the scores evened out because of the higher CPU Score in 06.
