Bought mine in june 05, my laptop is on almost 24/7 no problems so far. The only thing im not really satisfied about is the graphics card, i need a better one damn...overall a pretty good laptop.
I think I'm the earliest one here so far. I bought my i6000d right when they released the graphics card for it if I'm not mistaken somewhere around Feb 05. A couple of problems here and there but nothing too serious. I'm very happy with it.

edit: only complaint is the fading palm rests but that's practically a given. There's nothing i can really do about it except change the shell.

I own a 6000D since about September of 2005. The only thing that really pisses me off about it is the fact that you cant upgrade the video card. Dell has really been pissin me off lately lol.

had mine for about a year, before that my brother owned it, and when i got my m170 i traded him my 9300 for it. its a nice little machine, and there have been a few problems (dvd drive, lcd, battery and hard drive so far) but nothing huge. it get hotter than hell but i leave it on 24/7 so i suppose it is normal.
it gets hot? Mine usually runs around 30 deg C idle/mild surfing, 45 deg C during heavy use (converting videos or games) and 25-30 on battery.. Its cool pretty much everywhere except the memory door
