sager 5720(clevo M570) power managment problem

Hi folks,

Im the proud owner of a clevo M570B, it s exactly the same as a sager 5720.
However i m struggling with the speedstep settings of the centrino 2.0 (M760)
on battery mode.

What power scheme i choose under power managent, the cpu remains at the reduced speed of 800Mhz.

What i m trying to reach is the maximum speed from the cpu....
I v tried every scheme i could think of.

Even tried a program: speedswitchxp but this doesnt work either.
The one and only thing that seems to work is to connect the power cord from the AC adapter en when i windows, disconnect it, then i can see in the device manager the maximum speed of 2.0 Ghz.

Perhaps someone here can help me out!!!

Thx in advance!

With regards

Endy - then netherlands

I think you can disable this feature in the BIOS but I wouldn't recommend it. You will put a lot of stress on your battery.

All that does is lock your PC at 800mhz whether you use battery or AC power.

If you run CPU-Z you will see that the Clevo M570 underclocks the FSB to around about the 80 mark and this is why battery performance is so poor.
