I know ther are several threads here already pertaining to this perticular monitor.

I am anxiously awaiting delivery of my new purchase, and I was wondering if you guys might comment on the performance of this LCD with BF2? It is the primary reason I bought this monitor as BF2 is really the only game I play.
I have an XPS2 with a 7800 GTX, 2.0ghz, 2GB.

Did I overpay?

Excellent monitor. For gaming, it's just marvelous. I am replaying some of my games with this monitor and it's just like playing it for the first time.

Thanks guys. I I thought I read somewhere that BF2 looks streched.
It shouldnt look anymore streched than the deafult laptop display, correct?

Widescreen trick: Edit your desktop shortcut to look like this: "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +widescreen 1 +szx 1920 +szy 1200

Thanks for the tip. Not true widescreen but still better than 4:3 imo.

Game at 1920x1200 and turn everything up except dynamic shadows and dynamic lighting keep those settings low. Plus turn the sound option to software and low. If you have an audigy u can turn it to hardware and high and you should notice a slight increase in performance I know I did. Hope this helps.

Well, I currently run everything Ultrahigh (modified video.con).
I use an Audigy ZS with hardware sound enabled.
I was hoping to do the same when I get this monitor. Think I will have probs?
Im not sure if I would have bought it if I would have known I was going to have to sacrafice graphics settings.

Thanks again!
