Hi all I got a new dell D820 as a result of the d810 refurb I bought was a total lemon. I had 2 problems right out of the box. The bat wouldnt charge and there was a fan gind noise. I paid $1300 for the d810 which had a centrino 1.83 80gg 5400 rpm 512mb ram uxga screen and a x600 video card. After many hours on the phone they said to exchange for a new system. So to my surpise I got a refurbished d820 that was fully loaded the details are on my sig. Any way this new laptop is nice dosent burn me like my old 5150 did. I managed to play wow at 1920x1200 24bit color with a little video lag and the new rise of nation game at 1920x1200 32bit with the same problem so I decided to download the latest drivers from laptopvideo2go.com. My quadro is now a geforce 7400 with these drivers as long as they work I dont care. The GPU temp when running games is about 58 to 60. I used the detect the optimal clock speed button in the driver and it set my settings from 450/700 to 561/920 the temp is still the same when running games the fan doesnt even goto high. I eventually put the clock speeds at 585/1ghz the test would fail at 600mhz. I ran the 3d mark test the gpu got a little hot ~65 and I got the score of 2413. since this was the first time the fan came on high I lowered it to 575/1ghz so it runs normal again. Games run fine now just a little laggy on movie modes in rise of nations but the game play is fine.
