I guess this is a case of shame on me 
I didn't think much of the warning label on the top of my 4760 saying not to put any weight on the lid. Seemed like common sense, and I always avoid putting things on top of the closed notebook. Well, I didn't exactly do that. For my mobile music studio, I do pack a few pieces of gear in the accessory compartment on the outside of the 4760's case, just a 12v power supply, the little silver usb soundcard module and some cords. Not too bulky, but definitely some weight, especially the 12v inverter. Well, I commuted on the train one day, and also decided to jam a water bottle and my eyeglasses in the compartment. a few days later I noticed "ghosty" grid like marks on the screen from certain angles. I grabbed my microfiber towel and wiped, but to no avail. I believe the contents of the accessory compartment put undue pressure on the case and made permanent marks on the screen. DRATS! Not too drastic, but just enough to spot from certain angles, especially on a dark screen. So just a warning to dummies like me, weight on the screen may also be considered side pressure caused by too much junk in the case! I am assuming that's what the warning is all about...the one I peeled off so many weeks ago. Anyone else have this problem? I'm rethinking my gear toting, may need to get a small backpack, or carry two cases for all the gear....
