Anyone know any trick to OC my GX7422 CPU, MEM, and, GPU! All I really need is a thread to get me started. I heard about some sanding trick on your CPU but cant find any directions on the process.

Im trying to run CS: Source but its performace is just a little shy to get the job done. Figure after OCing I could at least play at low graphic settings.

Thanks folks!

I am not sure about overclocking the processor.

But for the video card try: ati Tool http://www.techpowerup.com/atitool/.

If you are going to overclock it I would just only do while you are gaming. Keep in mind that you run a high risk of harming you laptop if you overclock. Make sure that you keep the airflow throught your laptop while you are oc'ing.

Yeah....I just want to OC a little while Im playing CS:Source. I am also aware of the dangers in overclocking but Im a big boy and I'll make sure I dont burn up my old as gateway.

Anyone know about this sanding trick you can do on your CPU and us artic silver to drop your temp.
Anyone???

Thank for the tip and link though.

I have heard of sanding the bottom of your heatsink (with 600 grit, I think) to ensure that it is flat. A flatter heatsink and artic silver will provide a better thermal transfer than a rough heatsink.
