How about a Dell 13.3" model? Too bad the XPS M1210 isn't

The 13.3" display laptops such as the Sony SZ and the new MacBook is a great size. I'd think that Dell would have a model to compete, too bad the XPS1210 is 12" instead of 13/3".

most companies that offer a 13.3" notebook don't offer a 12.1" or a 14" alternatives. Since Dell offers both, the 13.3" model just doesn't fit their product scheme.

I personally think the MacBook is a little heavy for it's size. I care more about weight than size since I'd go with the largest possible "portable" (lightweight) option I can get.

yea, i dont see dell making a 13". that would be like them making a e1605 to fit in between the 15/17"ers

nah.

13.3" is too small for general usage and is not small enough to be ultra portable.

I thought the new MacBook was made horribly, the plastic flexes like hell.

I demoed a coworkers 13.3 Macbook. Its nice but it seemed kinda heavy; maybe I am spoiled by my 700m I like that it is thin, about 1in thin, compared to 1.5in thick 700m. Interesting that I did not see (nor hear) fans, which is odd for a core duo. But it does seem to have real good ventilation. Dell should take notes from apple and make their laptops thinner with slot loading DVD burner.
