Wireless laptop mouse made for big hands?

Thread Starter
Lo, I've been using an old Microsoft optical forever, but I wanted a wireless to carry around with my laptop. So far, every mouse I've looked at either comes with a huge USB reciever so I can use it 50 feet away (long cord, big plastic base reciever) or is a tiny tiny mouse with a perfect little USB reciever. Anyone know of something that combines both? Could I modify a big wireless mouse to use the little reciever?

You're thinking of the Logitech G7, though its a little expensive for most. Another option from Logitech is the MX 610 for $19.99. It has the small USB dongle and is a desktop laser mouse.

Look into getting a bluetooth mouse. If your laptop has internal bluetooth you won't need the USB dongle. If it doesn't have BT, most bluetooth dongles are pretty small & therefore right up your alley.

I've got pretty big hands too and I found the MS intellimouse explorer 4.0 ( the wired one) works great for me. There are even wireless and BT version of it too for about $40 (but the base of the wireless one looks pretty large).

The G7 by logitech is what i have it has a small usb key for wireless two bats and it comes with a base which u can plug the usb key into but don't use it if u don't want to. The mouse is cool ne way u can change the sensitivity w/ buttons on it and has side scrolling plus a back button and batt level indicator light. I recommend the G7 although its $100 USD its worth it, for me at least.

how are BT mouses with lag and all that? I'm considering getting one (or ever a BT comob) but want to know how it will perform in comparision to your run of the mill M$ one.... like the 20buck one.

thanks

I heard the Microsoft BT Mouse is ok for regular use.
But for more sensitive and gaming uses, its not as good.
Why I got a Logitech G7 instead and it rocks.

The MX610? Buy.com, but its sold out. Deal was posted on several sites: [H]Forums

I did get a G7 for $12 off Amazon. It was $62 with $50 mail in rebate. Rebate is shipping out to me Friday according to the Logitech Rebate site.

I've tried several (Logitech 270, a Kensington mini BT and another which I forget at the moment) and found that they're OK for regular productivity use, they're a bit laggy for FPS use. The Logitech however is a bit less laggy than the Kensington. Good enough for some spot gaming.
