Anyone with ATI Mobility Radeo 9600 Pro

That plays CS Souce, please tell me what you have set on all your default video settings. Reason I ask, I just recently aquired brand new D820 with the 120M quadro but am seriously dissappointed in my frame rates in this game. My last card played the game faster than this one for some reason. Both computers were decked out identical as well except 2 GHz pentium m vs duo and 128mb pro turbo vs 120 nvs. So I want to find out if my default settings were different in the other card or if the current nvidia drivers suck so much ass right now that I will eventually get better performance out of this.
Thanks a bunch,
Snes

The Quadro 120 isnt really a gaming card, its a CAD card, and 3d design and stuff.

BUT the 120m is definetly a step up from the 9600 due to pixel effeciency and whatnot. You should knwo however that SOURCE based games such as CS:Source and HL2:Source runs better on an ATI card. Turning off AA and AF makes a huge difference in this type of card for that type of game try it.

Quadro 110 and 120 use a 64 bit memory interface. Radeon 9600 uses 128 bit. Quadros simply lack the bandwidth for intense graphics aplications, despite the core raw processing power which only seems to work better in benchmarks.

well, one of my lappies has a 9700 pro, and when playing source games i usually just leave the options at the system-recommended values (the ones with a * next to them on the drop down menus). on my 9100, it chooses mostly high settings, and i play at 1280x800 resolution.. on the current laptop i play at the same resolution and it recommends high quality on everything but high quality anti-aliasing, which i really don't care about in the first place.

I have a 9600 Pro 256mb in my desktop oc'ed to 516/261.

It pwns.

I was able to up the GPU Core 118mhz, the memory though sucks for oc'ing I was only able to get it up 38mhz, darn.

Get about 10fps increase in games though
