anyone knows how to get rid of the BIOS password on a G40?

yeah. Put in the correct password and clear it out.

Barring that....You're screwed. IBM security at its finest.

anyone has a bad (no power, liquid spill) logic out of a G40 for sale, I'll pull the password chip out of it

look for eeprom 24RF08
if is present then read it with programmer and send me that data
i tell you code

2"-))))))))) Chips are readily avail how about for the newer 39VF040 and pass protects..Wheres the pass on these pups?..(I already know). Just checking...
