I find my diamondback absolutley fine, most of the other mice just seem to damn big and awkward to hold. i use it for sufing/designing/gaming - everything! Its great!

I Suppose it does depend on what you are used to though, i have smallish hands so maybe thats something to do with it

what's wrong with the portability of the g7? you can unplug the usb dongle from the charging base and just leave the base at home! Ok..so if you are going on a trip you have to take the base, but I think that is a great trade off to not having to buy new batteries and replace them (as in..not having a charger like most other wireless mice). If I wasn't given the mx1000 for xmas I would have gotten a g7 in a second! Imagine having to take the charging station with you everwhere you go like I do with my mx1000 (it is an excellent mouse though).

You should try and keep it at 2000dpi at all times when playing. It will take time to get used to but when you do you will see an improvement in your ability to take the enemy down.

I use 2000dpi all the time in CSS and find my movement so restricted when I forget to switch from 800dpi to 2000dpi.

Thx people! I actually went back to my corded MX518 mouse which I found totally awesome for gaming. I guess no matter what technology the wireless mice use, they still can't beat corded mice!

Now that Im using a corded mouse again, I can state that when it comes to gaming, u still can't beat a good old wired Logitech.

Still like my G7 and mx1000 but corded G5 is what works for this gamer.

If you NEED wireless - G7, hands down.

Otherwise, go with a G5 or MX518. Yes, I'm a logitech whore.

I own the following: mx500, mx510, mx518, mx700, g5, g7, and off the subject of mice - a g15 keyboard.. not to mention my speakers/webcam/headsets/gamepad..

So I'm going to say, which ever way you choose to go - Stick with logitech

Just remember, if you've got an icemat (doubt it.. they're not that popular, but i loooooove mine :-D), the g5 and g7 won't work with it. I've HEARD the mx1000 does work with them, but I don't have experience with that.

g7 for speed! oh, and the fact that it includes the little receiver that looks like a flash drive, rather than a charger like the mx1000, it makes it soooo much more portable. I have my charger plugged into a powered usb hub to charge my batteries. Every day when I leave, I swap batteries, and just take the mouse, the battery, and the little receiver stick thing - so its much more portable than the mx1000

I really don't think there's difference. I would just make sure its wireless and recharable. I think mine was around 7-80 bucks - logitech mx 1000 i think.

I like both g5 and MX1000. I have the BT MX1000 and it does a good job. The battery life is not terribly good IMHO and the mouse does not sit in the charging cradle all that well. I have cleaned it and the contacts out, but sometimes it just does not charge unless I shove it in.

g7 has to be a great mouse, but I did not like the battery changing, so I use the g5 on the road and the MX1000 at home. As some have said, the MX1000 charging station is not a good option for the road.

In games, I like the g5 for feel/responsiveness, but the MX1000 also works very well. I use a n52, so I do not miss the extra buttons when I use the g5.

Yeah, I know they suck for gaming so don't ream me here. But has anyone come across a good Bluetooth mouse? Logitech and M$ have them and they also have bluetooth desktops that suck from what the newegg reviews say.

I just don't want to have a wireless reciever, or ANYTHING else comming off of my laptop.

m-rbb93 "V270" from logitech works well for me in Windows (not trying games yet)

I have the silver one, this shows another color:

So far, it has EXCELLENT range and good battery life. Sleep mode on the mouse has saved me at least once when I left it on overnite.

NOT using the Toshiba stack but on the XPSGen2, the Toshiba were fine.

I am in the same boat, I hate even having the little dongles hanging off the side. I got myself the Microsoft Intellimouse for bluetooth and am enjoying it. It's a full size mouse and I use it fine in CS:S and other FPS. However I am not a big hardcore gamer so I don't get all crazy over sensitivity. I also chose the microsoft mouse over the logitech because I had a wirelesss logitech on my desktop and the battery life sucked. The only time the mouse loses the connection is when the batteries die.

I have both the G7 and the MX 1000. I'm very dissapointed that the G7 does not work with the Ice Mat, but the Mx 1000 does. It's very sad that the G7 although comes with 2 ion batt. they appear to be one half the strength of a MX 1000. Therefore you must be charging the spare at all times. Reguardless if you are traveling or not.

Dell supports the TM350 Bluetooth for the M170 and it should come with the cable needed installed (confirm).

You can get the TM350 module for less cost than ordering your system with it installed.

I love the IntelliMouse, but they are now only offering it with the Bluetooth Keyboard Package.

I just went to Dell and under accessories, I did a search for the TM350 and nothing shows up! Does that mean that they dont carry it anymore. Looks like Im screwed now :-(

Look here, your Dell Support WebSite, Bluetooth TM350 is listed under "Network". Buy the Module from Bal'thzar, or follow the link in my sig if you want to play the eBay game. My link to Bal'thzar's FS is now dead, but he has been noted for excellent service & support.Found his new site for TM350 (and lots more) HERE Dell never had it listed on website, only available installed on a new system or from spare parts, telephone order only.
