To those who use an Audigy 2 zs Notebook Card...

I am having a steady static noise coming out of my internal speakers when the Creative sound card is plugged into the PCMCIA slot. I can't get rid of the noise until I disable the internal sound card card, but then I don't get any sound from my internal speakers. I have to use headphones or external speakers. I emailed Creative's customer support and they gave me a list of incompatible PCMCIA adapters and mine on my i6000 is on that list, its the Ricoh brand controller. I assume many i6000 owners have the same Ricoh controller and I have noticed that many people are using this sound card. Did you have these problems? What can be done to fix it?

try going thru the volume control of the inbuilt card, and disable things like mic, midi etc. see if they make a difference.

note that to get to the volume controls of the build in card you have to go thru the control panel, and sound & audio devices. then the audio tab, then select the sigmatel and click volume. make sure you put it back to the audigy after, or it may make the built-in the primary..

Read someting about this a few months ago, but are unable to find it now.
It said someting about adjusting the PCI-latency to 0 for the controller, and that solved problems with the SB-card clicking and poping.

Using the latest Creative driver wouldn't hurt either...
