6380. Not sure if this is good or not, but it was my first run through. Temperatures are staying constant at 73 C after my overclock to 430 MHz Core and 581 MHz memory.

lol you already bios flashed it? Did you notice the back left vent doesn't have a copper block like the right vent does? I don't think the factory 7900 GS is dual pipe.

noticed the same thing. that sucks, not sure why the "photo" going around shows two pipes. blah.

What would be the difference between 1 and 2 pipes? I'm not expert on these things. Thanks.

Congrats on some nice scores! REP

I just got 3 7900GS's from dell today and they all had the dual pipes on it

I'm betting there is a M1710 version and a E1705 version.

I opened it up, or at least the hinge cover, and keyboard. Definitaly looks like there is only 1 heat pipe.

This score was after I flashed with the latest mobileForce drivers... 84.56 v. 2.41 I think... can't remember off the top of my head.

As for the copper bars in the rear vents, I am not sure what to look for.. in the back left one I see a little copper glint, but in the right one it doesn't look like the vent goes too deep.. so maybe it is in there but I can't see it.

I know it's asking alot, but can you guys think about running some 3dmark06 and SPECviewpref tests? I know some will really realy appreciate it.

Are you willing to do a trade for a single pipe? Say single pipe + cash?
hmmm I think I see what dell did. ok here is an interesting proposition

if pugs is right and the 1705 version has 1 heat pipe but the M1710 version has 2 then that would have been a limiting factor in overclocking and heat management.

we also know that the e1705 comes with motherboard tray that you have to nip out those 2 little pieces of metal that were just plastic tabs on the 9300

I think I smell a bit of difference enough to try to deter the average user

You should try and acquire some of the dual pipe heatsinks for the modders.

Stoc setting... Seems very very good. I don't understand if other score seen in this 3d are made in oc or stock setting.
