Another network card problem

when my ntoebook is powered by the battery (no ac adapter), the network card will not turn on automaically? is tehre a feature whre when a netowrk cable is plugged in, it will turn on automatically? cos the only way for me to turn it on, is put in the ac adapter, and i don't always have that adapter with me

if you have quickset installed click on that and you can choose to turn the internal network card on battery as well
