Hey, I have a A2500D, and earlier this year the laptop suddenly refused to boot, with a non-functioning keyboard (couldn't do anything with it).
I sent it to be repaired, which was pretty speedy (2days) there and back to Asus UK service centre. They replaced the mainboard and keyboard and reformatted. Seemed like a good job, but the speakers (the woofer specifically) makes a clicking sound when on bat power, and the average temperatures were at least 15oC higher (idling at 76oC, 2133Mhz).
Now, the battery only charges to about 40-50% indicated (it depends) and the charger won't stop charging (light remains on) and there seems to be a trickle charge of a fraction of a watt when reaching this level (reported by NHC).
I tried recalibration, but this doesn't work now because the battery doesn't report a full-charge status (I left it on for 24hrs).
Any hints? The laptops is 18months old. Battery is usually kept in AC, 100% charge ... I know this is bad. The batt has been at a reported 44% for weeks now.
