What MOS for Intel .. When I was in the Army I was a 98C Electronic Warfare Signals Intelligence Analyst. Worked with a lot of 98G and 98H in Korea and a lot of 96B at Ft Huachuca Az ..

When I went thru the school at Goofellow AFB in San Angelo TX I had room service for the first 2 months because the Army didn't have room in the barracks so I got to stay in the TLQ - Temporary Living Queaters and it had room service .. Ruined me cause once I had to move back in the barracks I was spoiled and hated cleaning ..

Oh HEY now... I just had a look at that "air force people sleep on cots?" line. Yes, Air Force people still use cots... hard to believe, huh? Although I must admit that when I was deployed to Southern France, I was not sleeping on a cot... I had my own hotel room... GO AIR FORCE!

"Dell, for one, is expected to deliver a game-oriented Inspiron XPS notebook on Thursday" - does this mean thursday as in TODAY? I haven't seen anything on their website.

User manual leaked

The XPS user manual (with images) has been leaked.

http://docs.us.dell.com/docs/systems...s/M3551bk1.pdf

Have a look before they change the link

This is one UGLY notebook - 1.5cm THICKER than the already too-thick 8600. Dell are committing commercial suicide.

My little brother is an Air Force Ammo crew chief...based on Guam!!! That place is a paradise. I visited him, over the holidays. I expected it to be a speck of dust with a few hangars and control towers. NOT!! It's everything that Hawaii is, beautiful beaches and tropical scenery, palacial hotels, casinos, hot chicks, para-sailing, snorkeling, scuba, jungle tours. He never wants to come back. I want to move out there. NOW!!

You're a twisted soul, GS!!
It reminds me of a Sager 8890 trying to swallow a Dell 8600.

So is Dell completely giving up the centrino processors?
The XPS is ugly, but interesting. I'm betting the bottom is designed that way for better air flow...

Depending on the price, I'd think about buying one (especially if the Sager 8790 is late)

I bet we'll see the next generation of Centrino (Dothan) in the 9100 and 9200.

One thing's certain is that the XPS has a far better screen than any Sager.
