Counter-Strike on a Macbook

Hello guys,

I'm interested in selling my machine for the smaller form factor.
I'm probably going to get a 2ghz white macbook and add a 1gb stick of RAM and a Seagate Momentus 80gb 7200RPM HD.

The question I have is:

How do Counter-Strike 1.6 and Counter-Strike Condition Zero run on this
machine? I need both to run at 72fps consistently before I buy this thing.

If anyone could check for me I would really appreciate it!

Thanks so much,

Andrew

I don't think you'll get 72fps consistently since the gfx is shared, not dedicated.

the reason i think it's possible is because:

the GMA 950 has support for DX9c and Pixel Shader Model 2 and it gets 14fps running Doom3 at 800x600 with no AA or AF.

Also, i got 40fps running some really bad S3 integrated graphics solution with an Athlon XP 2800 so I'm assuming the Macbook will be capable.

I just really want to make sure

you will easily with counter strike 1.6, most likely the same with condition zero.

oh, i was thinking of cs:s. you'll probably get that many fps's even if the video memory is shared.

for CS 1.6 shared ram should be fine. However if you ever want to upgrade to CS Source you may want to look into the Pro

Don't you mean DOWNgrade to Source?

I say this because I own all the Source games that run really well on my current laptop, and I honestly like 1.6 much much more. Graphics are nice, but not at the expense of gameplay. DoD:Source is a little better but still not as good as 1.3

To each their own...

Besides, a desktop really is better cut out for this kind of work, I just want a portable machine.
