Acer Aspire 5672 vs Aspire 5652

Hi. I've been browsing the net in search of my first ever laptop. I would like to ask you guys what are your opinions on the 2 notebooks at the top of my shortlist. The Acer Aspire 5672 and the Aspire 5652. I have read some very good things about the 5672 and it has been awarded Best buy in 3 or so magazines that i've seen so they can't all be wrong. It is obviously a very good machine for the money with the only real weekness being the Ati Mobility Radeon x1400. I am not that bothered if the Web cam is only mediocre as it is only a laptop cam built into the chassis and is still a handy feature although I would like to see a pic of a still taken from the cam or have an honest opinion on the cam and what usage you've had out of it.

I was all set out to purchase the 5672 only yesterday when it came to my attention from a thread on this site that the 5672 was to be shipped with the superior x1600 graphics card instead of the x1400 all be it only the 128mb version. This is as far as I am aware only in the USA and Canada at the moment and after contacting Acer here in the UK the person I got through to was unaware of the 5672 with the x1600 and didn't no whether it would be coming out in the UK, but advised me that the 5652 had a better graphics card if I was interested in gaming. Looking at the 5652 spec it has everything the 5672 has apart from instead of a built in camera it has a tv tuner. Also it has the Nvidia Geforce Go 7600 256mb instead of the Ati Mobility Radeon x1400 128mb (384 shared).

Am i right in saying the 5652 is exatly the same as the 5672 apart from he tv tuner instead of the cam and geforce go 7600 instead of Ati Mobility Radeon x1400, and that is perhaps why the 5652 seems to have been largely overlooked for review (i've only found one on a german site) as it was released after the 5672 and is basically the same machine with these differences? Did the 5652 get released after the 5672? Please could you advise what model is better? I really want the performance of the 5672 but with better graphics than the x1400. Is the cam on the 5672 really not worth having? If so perhaps the 5652 with the tv tuner and superior graphics would be a better option. Please advise.

Even if I waited and got the 5672 with the x1600 and what seems to be the 128mb version anyway, would it be better than the 5652 with the Geforce Go 7600? I'm thinking probably not but what do you think? The Geforce Go 7600 Go 256mb is as good as the Ati Moblity Radeon x1600 with 256mb let alone with 128mb right? Please could you guys answer as many as the questions above as possible. This is my first ever post. I would really appreciate some feedback to help me make a decision.
Kind regards, Chris (UK)

Judging by the specs found here:

http://www.gpureview.com/GeForce-Go-7600-card-409.html

http://www.gpureview.com/Mobility-Ra...-card-366.html

X1600 go7600
pipes 12 4
vertex pipes 5 3
rastor operators 4 2

X1600 is far superior

I would really appreciate some feedback to help me make a decision.

So what do you think - is the 5652 exactly the same as the 5672 apart from the tv tuner instead of the cam and the Geforce Go 7600 insteadd of the Mobility radon x1400?

the point is, if you are really interested in games, you should go for the 5652 as its video card is far better than the 5672 one. at least this is what i was told. the tv tuner is a secondary matter. and it got cheaper too. try acernotebooks.com or laptopshop.co.uk
