Well you have to put the MSI together....and the ferrari may or may not have a internal dvdr drive...and the dell has sweet coupons... and you're in the dell forum, do you really have to make a choice? p.s. right now i think there's a pretty awesome EPP coupon out...and it will be out for the release of the m1210

while XPS systems are inspirons, inspiron coupons don't apply to the XPS line, unfortunately. usually the best you can find for XPS systems is 10% off.

I am definately excited. Lots easier to haul around than the m170/m1710 and a sharp looking package. Enough gaming to keep most happy on short trips. I can take a break from FEAR/Far Cry to play something slower on the m1210.

I imagine that it would compete with my PSP for ultraportable gaming/video system with the m170 handling the gaming at home and doing work.

The M1210 is configurable on the dell germany website and it's on most the europe sites. I assume this means a release tomorrow.

I'm excited.

Oh man... my maxed-out M1210 on the German site is like 3000 euro.

I *really* hope it'll cost less here in the states...

still no sign of the computer on the site....i'd probably want to dump my 14 inch for a 12 inch again

Meh..I am not that impressed. I'll stick with my 700m for now. I want to see how the 1210 run Vista tho.

Intel's website indicates that Vista's AeroGlass interface should run on GMA 950, I would hope the XPS M1210 with the dedicated graphics would run AeroGlass with no qualms... and also take the 64-bit Core 2 Duo... Imagine a little machine like the M1210 running on a 64-bit processor and 64-bit OS... SWEET!

I am excited too.
What I like with M1210 are:
1. Wifi catcher. No need to boot to windows to catch
2. Webcam with built-in mic. No need to carry along webcam (usb) or digital cam.
3. Decent graphics card is an option *in a small notebook*
4. The design. I like the new media control buttons and the position of the speaker is what I love most. The 2 headphone jacks is useful.
5. Color white (casing) is gone which is great! I like the combination of black and silver.

I am not sure though if I'll enjoy the truelife. I (personally) do not like truelife. Still I'm excited to have XPS M1210. I hope the price will drop though.. even a bit

I agree. I specifically did not order my E1505 with Truelife, even though I would have liked the higher res, I just don't like the glare associated with the Truelife screen. I'm hoping that I will just adjust to the differences once I start using one long-term, or maybe I'll start looking for some sort of screen protector that has a more matte finish. I'm just psyched to have a Core Duo 12" with dedicated graphics.

Same here. I didn't order a truelife screen on Inspiron 9400. I will patiently wait though - 1 month. Maybe Dell will offer non-truelife screen for m1210 after a month (I really hope they will). They always add/change options so let's not lose hope.
