I have just bought this laptop and it is very good and stable for me.

Things i like:

160GB hard disk (nice and big for laptop)
Screen (it's 2nd gen X-Black)
GeForce Go 7600 (is vista ready)

Things i think SONY could of done better:
T2500 or T2600
1 x 1GB RAM instead of 2 x 512MB (now i have to through some memory away )
Higher res screen (the screen is great, and at 15.4 inch could be higher than 1280x800, maybe WXGA+ would be better)

Thank you for the reply.

I wanted to ask you also about the rest of the features that this model has and how good they are? (the camera, bluetooth, microphone, TV- out, ....etc)

as for the RAM, i think there is a solution, one can buy another 1GB chip and use it for the dual channel support, am i right????

as for the other models, T2500 and T2600, i think yes they are better but of course very expensive compared to this one

Camera is good for video conference and MSN Messenger is 640x480 size picture.

Microphone is ok, what you expect for built into laptop

Bluetooth is working great in XP and my MS IntelliMouse explorer for BT is working fine, but i can not get BT working in Vista yet, this is the only driver which is not working for vista beta 2, but hopefully this will get fixed in the future when vista is released

TV Out is new for me, never had this feature before, it is working with S-Video cable to my Sony TV, but i needed to tweak some settings in Nvidia control panel. It can be used to repeat display of laptop LCD, or you can configure TV as a second monitor and expand your desktop to TV.

I have problem though, when i run Media Centre and i do not see anything on TV out, but if i just use windows Media player and send output to TV it is working fine, i never used Media Centre PC before so maybe i need to set something up ?

For Ram, i dont understand buying a 1GB chip and using dual channel?
There is only 2 memory slots, and sony fit 512MB is each slot, so to upgrade i have to take 512MB out and put 1GB in

what i understand about this model is that it has only one chipset 1GB which is placed in one of the two slots found, am i right?

and i know that the maximum capacity is 2GB, so what i was suggesting is to buy another 1GB Ram chip and use it with the one already found to have both slots working and by this you can have a dual channel support.

but i don“t understand what do you mean by this 512 chip???? (are they two 512 Ram chips??? instead of the one 1GB??)
