Start -> Run -> regedit
- Double click on the string ‘WriteProtect’ and change the ‘Value Data’ box to ‘0’
- You also need to do this for the strings in any folders called ‘ControlSet***’ (* = any Digit, i.e. 001, 002)

PS - In my case, I didn't have the folders "StorageDevicePolicies" so I created a new one under each ControlSet and manually added the string WriteProtect and changed the Value to 0.
