Connect my Laptop to an HDTV?

Hi all,

I'd like to try connecting my Acer 2420 to an HDTV. I'll need some kind of VGA to Component or DVI converter.

The Acer output is 1280x800.

Anyone done this and can explain how it can be done?

Some HD TVs have VGA inputs...

HDMI --> DVI connector, set your resolution to either 1080i or 720p depending on what your TV supports
