Default 3D volts are indeed 1.24...this is throttled to 1.0V when not in 3D...good luck with that...definitely start a new thread as soon as you can report something...I just can't help these people with the GS cards, as I'm fairly sure any BIOS-mods could not come from a GTX.

There's already a 3dmark05/06 thread where GS owners can find info. about overclocking the 7900 GS. If anyone with a GS wants a bios flash iso, I've got one available here: Download and use at your own risk. Thread for 7900 GS owners: http://www.notebookforums.com/showthread.php?t=154646

If I use your iso, what should I type in at the DOS prompt for the 480/550 (1100) clocks..... nvflash 4801100

Thanks!

Here are my scores with two new speeds and results.

8390 @ 500/600
9131 @ 550/710
9338 @ 575/710
9387 @ 585/715
9448 @ 600/700
9478 @ 600/715 *ARTIFACTS!*

I might try keeping the mem clock at 700 and upping the core a little bit more.
ill have to up my 550/700 to 585/7000

i only get 8300 with 550/700

I dunno, Nick, that seems really low...I don't know what to tell you other than re-installing your drivers cleanly, which I'm sure you've already tried...I have the 2.16Ghz chip on my system, but that shouldn't make ~1000 points of difference (I score around ~9300 @ 550/700)!
no i was just thinking holy shit
yeah, i have tried different drivers installing all in safe mode, and the cleaning them with driver cleaner pro.

I think it is the CPU, plus the fact i should get more RAM

@american: oh, lol...yeah, me too!

@nick: wow...I can't believe there's that much difference in graphics-intensive appz between 1.86 and 2.16! Can anyone cite other benchmarks which confirm this huge (~1000 3Dmark) gap?

Can someone reupload the 7900bootiso on perhaps yousendit? The rapidshare link does not seem to work. I have tried various browsers but it just says invalid download.

Thx!

Yeah, rapidshare kind of sucks...here's a mirror on my Filefront account...I don't think this violates their rules (I hope)...

http://dodownload.filefront.com/5098...0bcfcbd65fe122

I will edit my post above to reflect the new mirror as well. Sorry for the original crappy dowload loc. Oh, btw, the new mirror has the file in .rar format, so you'll need Winrar or some other archive program that handles that format...cut the size of the dowload by 25%!
