Area 51-M 7700 HELP!

Hey guys,

My waranty is out for 2 months now, and ofcourse now the laptop breaks.

It will not boot up, I power the laptop on and nothing
The screen will blink at me a few times, the cdroom drive keeps making noise and every now and then the fans will kick in, but nothing shows up on the screen. I dont even get the self test, the screen just blinks at me every couple of seconds.

Any ideas?

Mine did the exact dame damn thing 2 months out of warrenty. Call them and go through the hour long trouble shooting shit that they will ask you to do no matter what the problem is, pay the $250, send it back to them, and hopefully they will fix it the first time. For me, they replaced my video card which fixed the problem for 30 min. then the damn thing died again. I had to call them back and trouble shoot the whole thing AGAIN and send it back. They then replaced the motherboard. This worked, but now my system is slower than my 8 yo. Dell. It is going back again this week.

I HATE ALIENWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thx for the replies.

It is frustrating that a laptop you paid so much for breaks so soon.

I would love to fix it myself, but I am unshure of what is wrong with it.
After reading these boards, it seems that it might be the motherboard but again I am not sure..

i think your retarted to, anyway, as for your problem, its either processor or vid card, vid card is easier to replace then processor so hope its just the vid card
