Alrighty then, so I finally got off my lazy bottom an' upgraded my kernel to the latest version of Fedora Core 3 <<Tried 5, wouldn't install right, an' I've not enough time to force it>> In any case, my wireless is no longer working, an' I don't remember how I got it up before...well, at least this time it can find the device. Any help here would be great, thanks.
<<Yeah yeah, I know, Google, problem is, there were so many people posting about just how to get the firmware installed that I couldn't find anyone still having problems afterwards>>

This would be the error message I receive:

And these would be the different configuration screens:
General

Route

Hardware Device

Wireless Settings

Assuming you have the intel 2100 or 2200-- seeing as you omitted that important information....
Most likely this is the problem:

On the newer kernels, the ipw2100 project moved the ieee80211 software into a seperate package.
In order to get it working, you must download the kernel source, build the ieee80211 software against the new kernel source, then build the ipw2100 driver against both of those.
Ive done it before, its a major pain in the arse with LOTS of bugs.

I would recomend a couple of things, go back to the working kernel, try FC4 which worked 1000% better oob than fc3, or figure out why 5 wont install. imo all these options are much much better than attempting what I posted above!!!

But, if you must, i do have a 30 page debug log that may help you out. But even pieceing through that is gunna be a real headache.
