Dear News Corp Employee,

If you've been thinking about purchasing a home computer for yourself or your family, now is the time! As a News Corp employee, you can take advantage of this limited time offer.

Starting May 25, 2006 to June 7, 2006, you can save 35 percent on Dell Dimension and Insprion systems that are priced $999 or more* using the coupon code below.

Coupon Code at checkout: BKXFFPDDZRM5VG (This code was NOT given by Dell for News Corp employees. I got this code from a friend at US Bank for THEIR EPP program. I tested it and it works for News Corp as well. Coupon expires June 7, 2006 or 1,000 redemptions, whichever occurs first.)

Plus, get your Employee Purchase Discount of up to 12 percent off using member ID

For full details of this offer and to take advantage of this discount you can place your order all online via Dell'ss Secure Employee Purchase Store at http://Dell.com/atg/newscorpepp.

*Price applies to systems before tax, employee discount, shipping and handling.

Deal is best when your 35% discount is over $750 (since there currently is a $750 off $1,999 available for EPP.)

Here's what I ordered:

Intel Core Duo processor T2500 (2MB Cache/2GHz/667MHz FSB), Genuine Windows® XP Media Center Edition 2005

Shipping Discount -$49.00

Even better deal for those with no tax. This configuration came out over $100 cheaper than with the EPP $750 + 12% coupons or AAFES. It beats Dell Home's price for same specs by more than this.

No flaming. For those who need the laptop NOW (ie. me), this is the BEST price you can have at this moment.

Michael

PS: This was posted at http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/mess...hreadid=617030, but I wanted to share this deal with NoteBookForums as well (as it's one of my favorite sites.)

Excellent! Thank you sooo much! I already had placed an order with Dell yesterday but this offer saved me tons more money than the 750 off coupon plus I got the 3 year warranty and the larger cell battery practically for FREE doing it this way! I actually saved a over 1100 bucks with this coupon. 35% off the total plus 12% for doing the 3 year in home warranty plus another 2% for using my Dell Preferred account.
A $2530.00 computer ended up costing me $1489.00 incl taxes.

Thanks again!

sooner: you can purchase the laptop through EPP and still use it for business, if you'd like. But don't expect the kind of service you'd get through Dell Business.

Tissy: still works for me. Be sure to go through http://Dell.com/atg/newscorpepp

Sorry, can't help you there... Try again later today? Or try a different browser. If you ARE using something that's NOT Internet Explorer and it gives you that error, then try Internet Explorer

the 12% come from selecting i think better or best option when you first select what comp to build.

That's correct, kirk. It'll automatically be added if you choose a 3-year or 4-year warranty.
You can save 170 bucks and still get the 12% if you click on the 3 year in home warranty instead of the default 3 year with all the crap that Dell wants to put on it. Like Security protection etc... If you have a decent ISP then they provide virus and anti spam protection for you and you wont need all that other stuff that Dell wants to sell you with that warranty.

Are you in the EPP/Employee Program or the Home/Business area?
You have to be in the EPP area for it to work.
But it is possible that 1000 people have already taken advantage of this program. It was a hell of a savings. I saved 1100 bucks and got better components then going for the 750 off coupon at usually floats around.
