Video out problems

I can see everything fine using the svideo out cable from my laptop but when I try to play video, nothing shows up. i can see it on my laptop screen, but it isnt showing up on my tv. i have tried windows media player, vlc and media player classic and none of them display the video on the tv but they work on my laptop. help please.

I have this problem too and never got around to finding a crack for it as i was told it was a copyright protection kind of feature. Desktops don't have that problem obviously but you go to use the external screen on a laptop and all of a sudden they decide you aren't allowed to watch your dvd's. Anyone that knows how to crack this i would love to hear as well.

ok this other file works (a sopranos episode) but the one im trying to play (lost season finale) is not working. :S

you have to put your tv as your primary monitor I think...or at least disable the notebook LCD. I have that problem when I plug a monitor to my notebook. The video will only play on one monitor. You can also try to use your tv as an extended desktop and play the video on that side of the desktop.

Your Video out can't see overlay or accelerated video. Turn off acceleration in your video player and the picture portion of the pixmission will magically appear.
