D900T owners, do you have issues with encrypted networks?

I have a 9890 with the built in MSI CB54G3/MB54G3 + bluetooth card. I decided to try using encryption on my wireless network, but none of them work. If I have no encryption, the connection will work fine. If I enable WEP, WPA, or WPA2 in Windows XP it says "Aquiring Network Address" and the signal strength is a 1.0Mbps. It just stays this way, and it never gets any DHCP information it would seem. Does anyone else have any issues with encryption? Do you think my wireless card is shot?

Thanks in advance,
Shmenge

EDIT- I tried using encryption with my linksys USB adapter, and all forms of encryption work fine. My other laptops work fine as well.)

EDIT2- I tried using old wlan drivers, new wlan drivers, resetting the router to factory defaults, formatting the 9890, turning both radios on and off (wlan and bluetooth), all with no success. I really think this card may be (somewhat) dead

EDIT3 - OK the issue is not resolved, but fixed to a degree, as Windows XP MCE does not connect, but Windows XP x64 *does*. The inprocomm drivers for X64 work with encryption, however the XP32 bit ones arent working with MCE. Any ideas? I'm using the latest drivers from sagernotebook.com

The MSI Wifi + Bluetooth card just doesn't seem to be that great. Got a 9750 Sager for wife and upon trying to use it, it has very poor reception even when placed right next to the wireless router. I did try different drivers and the signal reception never improved by much.

Since she doesn't use bluetooth I went and got the Intel 2200BG mPCI card for the laptop and swapped them out. Reception is flawless now with the 2200BG card in. If she does want bluetooth one day, will probably just get a bluetooth pcmcia card or so.

I can't believe it's that bad... It worked fine before and then just stopped getting DHCP info. Like I said, the weird thing is that the 64bit drivers work perfectly fine! but the 32bit and even the beta vista drivers (also 32bit) can't get any DHCP info from my server. Anyone else have this problem?

well, mine works fine. im not sure about this but i remember reading that sager doesnt hook up all the antenna wires, like i said, i may be wrong. my lappy hasnt had any trouble with my encripted networks, at all. i to have the bluetooth/wifi card, and i have had zero problems as of yet. i hope you get it figured out. i would contact sager tech support if i were you.
good luck.

I discovered something very interesting.

With XP64, the inprocomm drivers work fine with WPA enabled.
With XP32, the inprocomm drivers do not work if any encryption is enabled.
HOWEVER
With XP32, and ANOTHER wireless router of the same brand, the inprocomm drivers DO work with encryption enabled.

Basically, with my main router, I can't use XP32 with any form of wireless encryption. However XP64 can connect to my main router when encryption is enabled. Oddly enough, My backup router of the same WRT54G-series, with encryption enabled, will work with XP32. How odd!! Now it's a matter of making them work together. What strange hardware!

Edit- again, the only machine having trouble connecting (and its worked before) is the 9890. This has to be a driver issue. Or.. an anti mac address filtering issue.
