It maybe coming out on may 31 IGN had an article about a product launch on the 31. http://gear.ign.com/articles/710/710374p1.html From the pic it looks like the m2010 slot loading dvd drive, so it could be real soon.

ok well, the M2010 is sort of like a briefcase laptop....when you open the top you have a 20" monitor awaiting you, there is a foldout keyboard and in the middle there is a touchpad in the bottem half of the briefcase.... sry i dont have a link so my description will have to do

Any news you can find on that thing will probably be enough to get the person displaying it sued by Dell. They've given nothing for info on it really.

well this is not new news and i am not sure why ign wasn't able to find this but here is the picture hidden behind the invite this is indeed the briefcase laptop but i am not sure if dell was referrign to this as being the new 2010

http://www.dell.com/html/us/xmen/ind...=19&l=en&s=dhs

then choose dell heroes it will be a picture of the new 1710 and then you will see the briefcase laptop

I've been looking to replace my 8500 (yes, I know its old), for awhile now. Anyone know if this will also be a gaming lappy (7900 GTX ), or just an entertainment system? I love the screen size (another TV in the house ), and since it will only be in my home, its size and weight is not a problem.

DEFINATELY a gaming laptop.... its an XPS remember lol ;-) I have a feeling it will def. have a 7900GTX especially to support the 20" monitor

The M2010 that was shown at CES had an ATI 1800XT video card, so it could do gaming but maybe they changed the video card since then.

Here is a link to the oficial DELL website, Next generation of PC Gaming

Click on the 'Mobile Entertainment Concept'

That's what I thought would be the M2010, but maybe that's not just for gaming, but also a true desktop replacment - some have desribed it as a Deskbook

So anyway, it seems like no-one has any real news, I just hope that they make it available through Dell Europe as well as the US ...
