hehe!
I just got to work and noticed my beautiful I9400 is crying!
When the power cable in connected it's making this sharp, screaming like sound constantly, if I remove the cable it stops, or if I remove the battery with the cable still attached, it stops.
Anyone have any idea what this might be a symptom off?
Thanks

Sounds more like a cap in the charging circuit to me....It's never easy to remote diagnose noises. I would suggest you contact Dell & keep your battery out of the laptop unless you really need it... Not sure what the power brick puts out on the 9400, but I'm sure it's around 19v-while charging...If you have the small battery it's prolly pulling around 30 watts @ 50% battery while charging (my 1710 is 19.1v/draws around 40 watts at 50% battery while charging under windows with minimal load) -As a quick check you might want to verify your power brick is putting out the rated voltage...There is always a possibility it's the problem .
