My M3438G's base dimensions are 408mm (16") x 288mm (11.3"), although the 'footprint' of its rubber feet are 345mm (13.6") x 250mm (10.4") on the desk.

Here's the back of the laptop showing where the air-intake and exhaust sections are:
I guess it's no good having a notebook cooler where the fans are not placed correctly at the exhaust/air-intake.
Here are my temperatures:
Idling [CPU throttled back from 2GHz to 700MHz] temps (internet surfing, etc,. after several hours use):
GPU ambient: 61C
Very intensive gaming temps (after 30mins):
GPU amb.: 85C
Very intensive video batch rendering/processing (after 30mins):
GPU amb.: 65C
This is in a room with an ambient temperature of 26C.
I think one of the problems with this notebook is its small rubber feet giving it low clearance off the desk, so air can't freely escape.
Current I have the front of the laptop tilted up by several inches, but it's not ideal.
