How big of a difference are we talking about do you know? Because I opted to get a T2400 1.83 with 80gig 7200rpm hdd instead of a T2500 2.0 with 100gig 5400rpm hdd. Did I make the wrong choice? I picked the T2400 1.83 with 80gig 7200rpm hdd. Also the package deal with the T2500 did not offer bluetooth which I was not to worried about. I know I could of bought a aftermarket 7200rpm hdd for the T2500 but did not want to and also do not plan on upgrading to merom with either package. Anyways, just wondering if I made the right choice or not. Other than that both packages has same specs.

Well guys, my M1210 is on hold indefinately. I bought my first car yesterday, and I don't really want to spend the rest of my money upgrading my laptop when I really don't need to (just want to). Still a few things I want to buy for my car (eg. bluetooth carkit, reverse parking sensors).

I just got an M1210 as well! This is my first notebook, I find it to be very satisfactory overall though I wish they would have had some kind of rebate thing going on when I checked it out. The one problem I have had so far is having the Nvidia video console crash once on me. Besides that nothing really weird has gone on. Spent about 30 minutes unistalling all the crapola that was on the system at first.

The system I got is pretty basic. T2300, 60gig 7200rpm HDD, HD audio, GeForce GO 7400. Besides that I think everything else is standard. I plan on upgrading to 4GB of ram and the T2700. Though Dell's prices for 4GB of ram are just ludicrous. A passing inpsection of various net stores revealed prices half of what Dell is charging for 4GB. Also, doesn't this system support the T2700? I didn't see it on Dells website and was dissapointed there too... I figure it makes more sense to get the cheapest processor they offered and upgrade to the 2700 later rather than go from the T2600 tot he T2700...

Can anyone verify that this machine supports the T2700?

How the heck did it come up to 1500? I configured your system with the same specs and I'm getting $1,869.

Yes, it supports the T2700. However, it will also support the new Merom (Core 2 Duo) processors when those are released, so I would upgrade to one of those.
