**OFFICIAL** I just bought an M1210 thread! - Page 49

I just called Dell Canada, and was told by the first rep that parts were "still backordered" and that the CPU would take at least 5 more business days.

So I asked to speak to the manager, a few minutes later a rather unpleasant manager who basically told me that Dell had NO T7200 cpu's (uhh, am I some kind of idiot?) So I call her on it, and she backpedals to say that lead time for my cpu would be 5 days etc etc and that it will be 10 business days AFTER they get the CPU before I get it, so 15 business days, 3 weeks, is now my leadtime according to this manager.
No offer of anything, no niceties, and only a "If you don't like it, you can cancel your order"

*whine*

Mine must have hit Delivery Prep late yesterday because this morning, it's checked. Ship date says yesterday - ahead of schedule.

Guess I'll phone them today and find out when I can expect delivery.

Bob

Edit: Just looked at the Purolator site and was scanned in yesterday at 4:30 PM. It's in transit in the US.

Edit: And just phoned Puraolator. It should clear customs on Monday or Tuesday and I should have it the day after. (Breathing deeply. Looking for calm under my anticipation.)

My suggestion is to not read too much into the package weight that are listed. I have received 3 M1210 (same configs) at different times & all 3 times, the packages are listed at different weights (10.8, 8.7, 13.1) but they all arrive the same (same items).

My M1210 sat in the build stage for 2 days, now it's been in boxing for 2 days. Two days in boxing? Seriously, how long does it take to put a laptop in a box? I guess I'm a little impatient. I'm really hoping that it ships today... I need this thing about 3 weeks ago.

Boxing means shipping from Malaysia (where it's built) to USA (usually Nashville, TN, if you're based in the US).

I just called Dell Canada and even though the website still says "In Production", it has actually shipped yesterday I should receive it early next Monday or Tuesday. I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope I get the AUO screen (I ordered A/V package), and hopefully have 0 problems with it.

****ing Dell. I called them, I placed an order August 31st and its still in production. ETA 15th? HA. They said it'll ship on Monday. Mother****ers. They said I may receive it on the 22nd or the 25th. THATS NEXT NEXT MONDAY!!!! I want to bomb their headquarters. This is after they already sent me a defective XPS M1210 and I had to send it back.

Wow.... that anger.. i totally understand. I would feel the exact same... Dell's being very lousy on their services.

But mine weighs 18.00 Lbs. Something more is coming, I assume. LOL maybe not.

As a follow-up to my previous message regarding my order and the Dell Canada supervisor telling me 5-15 business days as my lead time for the backordered CPU.
I just checked the online status page and it seemingly has already shipped and should be delivered yesterday :P

I am baffled how a Dell CSR, Manager, and my sales agent, can all tell me yesterday that the computer is delayed due to backordered CPU, yet shipment tracking shows it being picked up yesterday morning

Needless to say, I am quite pleased it actually has shipped, just a testement to the fact that the left hand obviously doesn't know what the right hand is doing over al Dell.

09/14/2006 5:00 A.M. OUT FOR DELIVERY

now.. 4:40 pm.. where did this delivery truck go..!!
Mine was sent to UPS at 2:00 ish this afternoon. I have next day delivery. Should I be expecting it tomorrow? My order numbers do not work... I have tried and tried and tried them, but they do not work. The CSR I talked to said they didn't work. I hope it will be resolved tonight or tomorrow morning, because I really want it to be coming tomorrow...

This is kinda weird. Ordered from Dell Canada. I've received 2 emails about the order so far. Latest one said "Order confirmed". Yet when I view my account on dell.ca, it shows no order history at all. Is that normal??

EDIT: nevermind....wordks now. Shows in production. C2D T7600 woot!
