Best deal on M1210?

Now that the amazing $750 deal is dead, what is the next best thing to do to go about getting ahold of one of these little beasts

Also, when I was configuring one, the ship date was June 22? Almost a month!

If anyone comes across anything, please say something..because I want one, but do not want to dole out $2000...

isn't the higher end 1210 the only ones with the dedicated graphic cards?

Don't come to Dell forums to tell people to "get a macbook". It's pretty lame.

Yeah, I care nothing for the 2010 monster or whatever the hell that thing is..I want a 1210!

Yeah, the tech guy said he's trying to get deals on the new systems which include the 1210.

However, I feel whatever he sells them for won't be as satisfying as Dell's "fluke" today.

How's he get these "deals" anyway? For some reason I don't buy his "i know a great dell rep" thing.

Well 750 off was pretty amazing but wish him luck. No one thought he would be able to get over 1000 off an XPS either but low and behold we have the 2800 super bargain. (if i configured right on dell's site the identical system would have cost 1500 more and still had a hump of tax, and perhaps shipping depending on promotions.) SO i think he does pretty darn good. But 750 of a 2 grand comp is i think 38% off. the 1500 off a 4300 system is about 35% so its possible he can do pretty well.

He gets them from a small business account which gets him a discount and allows him deals we don't get. He orders lots of systems and always deals with the same rep. There are over a dozen orders getting ready to ship in the next day or so that we get from him. And his rep really is great, she puts on any discount she can find, i can see them in the invoice online! One just takes off a grand!

Wow. Thanks for clearing it up.

What does he get from this? Profit?

Yes he profits and gets to use the discount for himself as well but as i understand the margin is really tight, so even the credit card fee cuts it too much. You aren't getting ripped, you are if you but it at dell's face price. You can do the transfer of ownership from dell's site and the laptop is yours in their eyes and so is the warranty.
