Hi All,
Well my old 9860 is supposed to come back today as a newly reborn 9890.
I assume they will ship it back with a wiped drive with XP and drivers loaded for the new mobo/video card. I have an external hard drive that I was keeping my old system backed up with. It is an image of the entire drive. The problem I see is the imaged drive includes everything from my older computer. If I restore it to my 9890, it will also restore the old drivers for the 9860. I saved my Microsoft money as a separate file so I can get that without restoring. Don't remember if anything else is important enough to chance restoring on my new laptop and possibly having new issues or having to wipe and restore. Any thoughts?
Thanks and thank god my laptop will be back. I hope that nothing new is broken on it since it went away.
