Intel is also going to continue slashing the prices of their Duos until Conroe surfaces. We may see slightly cheaper prices through mid-July!

Very tempting

I just cancelled my 4-day-old 1705 order and built a new one. For the same price as before I raised my CPU to the 2.16, and got the 2-year warranty with accident protection instead of the 1-year warranty with no accident prot. that I had before.

and thats the reason why i need to get a dual core now...then wait for the merom prices to drop. haha

should i wair till july and get the E1705 or do it now? will dell make their prices go up on all the other upgrades? ex: GPU, memmory, etc...? the lowest i can get right now is $1365, you guys think it will go lower in july?
i would assume it might stay about the same. merom comes out in july or august i believe. but just because it comes out then, doesnt mean it will be on any systems. but there is a good chance that it might go down because merom will be newer technology, and the original dual core, will be "old technology", thus meaning not as great of a demand

What are the 7800go going for now?
i wouldnt pay more than 150$ for a 7800 go.
