I have an M6810 model and would like to aquire an airline seat DC adapter for it. None of the Targus pins fit -- can anyone tell me if there is an air/auto adapter for my unit? Many thanks...

2. ANY auto/air adaptor that support HP ZD7000 series (the voltage, amperage, wattage AND the CONNECTOR fit m68xx machine

Thank you! Now the question is:

How do I find an adapter that supports the HP ZD70xx series? The Targus website does not list that as a compatible notebook (listing only the ZE4000 and ZE5000 series) and the Trust website does not indicate sales in the U.S.

Follow-up

The Targus website actually has a category for Hewlett-Packard and for HP (go figure). The HP category lists dozens upon dozens of models but no Pavilion models that begin with ZD. Does anyone know if there is a model listed with Targus that is compatible with the ZD7000 (which we would assume would then be compatible with the 6810)?

Yet another follow-up

What about an inverter that allows one to use the native AC power brick. Like this product here:

Would this work?

inverter is ok with (ur own) car, i would not chance it with airplane, u should talk to the crew before trying to use it.

targus advertises correctly, if it does not say specific to a certain model, it will not support it. U might want to contact them direct and ask for a specific "TIP" to be used with the zd7xxx. their website - how to find the correct tip - comes up with nothing, talk to them directly.

trust - u should be able to order their device over internet or sales direct. it is just across the pond

Another choice might be:

http://www.lindelectronics.com/cgi-b...detail_product
From lindelectronics. They are pricey, but very tough and reliable. My husband used one for his Toshiba laptop (in a work truck) and was very happy with it. They did not used to have one for the m6805, but do now. (Should also work for the m6810.)

Notice though that: "This adapter can not be used in the airline in-seat power systems and it is not provided with the special connection cable. The air in-seat power systems are limited to an output of only 75 Watts."

This makes me wonder if any adapter would work with in-seat power plugs.
