Alright, well my friend goes to UCLA and he gets the student discount. So I contacted him and he gave me his info for his email and I got to log into the EPP program. Would I be able to purchase this laptop using my credit card through his EPP log in? Also would it be under his name or could I have ownership over it? If not, then could we somehow transfer the ownership? Help please, with as much info as possible.

Your friend should read over his UCLA computer account terms and conditions so that he understands when UCLA will be kicking him off campus for providing you with his log in...

At my son's school, he has specific limits on software and hardware he can buy as far as how long he has to own them before selling them, and how long he has to wait before buying another one. Some are 1, some 2 years.

EPP discounts are usually lousy and beaten by Home pricing with coupons.

Well, the computer would be under his name reguardless. I also bought it from home because I got a better deal anyway.
