It was just neon orange model spray paint. I put a couple coats of clear-coat on it after the orange had dried also.

There are 3 screws on the bottom of the mouse. 2 at the top, and one towards the bottom. You remove those, and then the top part comes off. Inside, there's two main circuit boards, one on the bottom part, and one on the top part that your hand covers. There's two screws to remove the circuit board from the top part, and then 8 or 9 screws that remove the part that I painted orange. It really isn't that hard to get off. The other thing I did to it, was remove the piece of metal that makes the scroll wheel click, or seem like it's notched. Now it scrolls smooth without any resistance.

The only prep I did for it was rubbing it with an alcohol pad to get the grease/dirt off of it. Here's the paint I used. I bought it at a WalMart I believe. I did 4 coats of the orange paint, and then 3 coats of clear-coat. Hope this helps.

hah. to get the paint to stick for ever you must first use sandpaper like a maniac to get a nice surface. then you put a thin layer of basecoat, then some more sandpaper, then some more base coat... and so on for a while... then you paint your wanted colour in very very thin layers... should need about 6-7 thin thin layers... then gloss it...
just painting on the normal surface will make the paint peel of rather quickly.

Well, seing as how it's paint made for plastics, you don't have to sanpaper it before you paint it. And it doesn't matter how many layers you do.

Take a picture of it using a mirror.
Sometimes technology spoils us so much we expect it to solve problems. :-)

Yea I'd like to see the pictures of your stuff. I've never used bluetooth but it sounds pretty cool. Good luck with your laptop. I'm still on phase 4
