New MacBook !!! - Page 2

If you only want 1 GB of RAM total you might save $20-30 US. When I was pricing MBP's and MB's last week I only ended up saving a couple of bucks by getting the lowest priced RAM installed by Apple and then installing two 512 MB sticks myself after shipping and tax, going with RAM I was familiar with from a company I trust and had used before. There is cheaper RAM out there but I have found in the past it doesn't always save in the long run.

i just picked up this USB SD reader, for $10, from compusa and it works just like a memory stick. i got it bc i lost my USB camera connector and just got a 1GB microsd card for my phone, so i can use it for both. coolest thing is that u can just upgrade to larger capacity SD cards when they become more affordable. only drawback is it's width. it is fine by itself, but is too wide w/ another device next to it, and it didn't come w/ a 6" USB extender to accomodate this, like some do.

Hey Shazza, I don't know if you are really in WC 2006. But, hey congrat for the Aussies. They did well today and good luck for next game against Italy.

The GPU will be fine for everything except gaming and serious 3D video/photo work (which most people don't do). I would like to have the SD card reader as well...but my camera does a USB transfer, so that's what I'll use. You can always buy a USB card reader...but that is just one more thing to carry around.

Congrats on your new MB and to the Aussies for making the "round of 16" in the World Cup. I'm sure you'll be watching the game today and cheering them on. This is quite amazing since not even the USA could make it out of their group.

Unfortunately, I'll be cheering for Italy in the game today for ethnic reasons. My Mom would shoot me if I didn't.

think the US was in a pretty tough group. and they just barely didnt get out, even after playing like "total $hit".

No lie. They were playing against a stacked deck.

Better than the US, that is for sure!

I believe that US could do better with better coaching and A LOT BETTER MEDIA. For many years watching many sport events in the US, I have lost my respect to their professionalism, knowledges, etc.

BTW, SideshowBob, are you from Cali, Colombia. I went to many places around the country last month for business. Lots of good impressions; friendly people, beautiful country and lots of good food.

Next time I will take my vacation and go around the country and a few neighbors.

^ yeah, i was watching the switz vs. ukraine (sorry if i spelled it wrong, i don't mean to offend you) game. It just wouldn't stop! They both had perfect chances but it was always a little too high or to wide to the right/left. I stopped watching like 15 minutes into halftime.

sorry for the aussies, that was yet again a horrible call.

i wanto know how fifa got these refs. there are a bunch of them that do not know jack about this beautiful game.

what a sad story for this WC'06.

yea the refs seem to be a bigger issue than past World Cups.

i was overall dissappointed with the USA's performance, but they had some calls that were just pitaful!
