Although this is a single pci-ex slot application is actually 2 cards in sli with one pci-ex connection, using a sli interconnect. Looks like a killer card for Quad-SLI using only 2 pci-ex slots

Check out the review here

I know I love ATI but this is pure perfection

Dangit, I came here to start this thread...

Anyway, there are more benchies and whatnot here.

Also, Newegg has 8 different ones in stock here, starting at $640. Ouch.

Basically, they seem to be a 7900 GT sli setup that fits in one slot.

Note: An SLI mobo is not required. (assuming the bios is updated to support the card)

Hey Caffeine!! I tried a couple aftermarket coolers the Artic Cooling X2 (hindered my cpu overclock by heating up my northbridge), the Zalman VF900-CU (Awsome idle temps but full load temps were higher than stock) and now finally I am using a swiftech watercooling kit with dual 120 mm fan radiator and 2 bay resevior with a Danger Den Tyee water block. Here are some pics

From Anandtech article (which I posted first, btw):
"NVIDIA has made it clear that they won't try to stop people from building their own Quad SLI systems, but they also won't actively support such activity. This is in line with their current stance on overclocking. At the moment, NVIDIA tells us that there are many roadblocks to configuring a working Quad SLI system with the 7950 GX2."
"there is future potential for DIY quad SLI. There is still a ways to go until NVIDIA releases drivers that will support quad SLI without the help of a system vendor, but they are working on it. "
