DVD sound issues

I been having some dvd volume issues... the background sound comes out high but the dialogues are all very muted... ive fiddled around with media player and media player classic settings but have not had any luck.... but have no poblem when listening to music or divx movies.... wierd !

any help would be appreciated...

This is sometimes caused by the system not mixing the center channel into the left and right channels. Since the majority of the onscreen dialogue is handled by the center channel this is a big problem.

Try enabling Media Player Classic's internal audio filters applicable to DVDs (AC3, DTS) and see if this changes anything.
