Is there a way to check your parts without having the system?

ok, so ive heard that there are some advantages with certain parts. like, there is less light leakage with a certain brand of lcd. my question is, is there a way to check for that, before i get my laptop? like, can i check online or something?

You can check on Dell's site under your account. You'll need the Service Tag but if you have an online account and it shows the system you bought you should have the service tag there.

well most of it. The service tag won't show up until you insert it. You can try clicking on your order number for the detailed specifications.
