Well there was something wrng with my keyboard...The "Zero" key doesnt work and Shift + k doesnt work. Also when i boot up my laptop i need to press any button on the keyboard for it to start booting up. So yesterday i took my keyboard our and cleaned it out and while i was puttin the "zero" key back in i cracked my F11 key...Cracked a tiny tiny tiny little metal tip....Barely able to see it but its enough for it not to snap back in...I didnt manage to fix my "zero" key either...What shold i do? How much is a new keyboard?

Laptop in sig

thanks

$20US plus shipping for a another keyboard.

But that booting issue is weird. The top panel buttons (power, bluetooth, etc.) aren't connected at all to the keyboard...

Yeah, I understood what you meant. What I'm saying is the Power Button and other buttons at the top are part of a circuit board that connects to the motherboard at the top. The keyboard connects to a completely different interface in the middle of the mobo. So it's weird that you need to press the keyboard after the power button.

Honestly, I don't think any of us are gonna be able to help you out. No one else has brought up this kinda of boot up issue. If reconnecting the keyboard or power button board doesn't fix it you really should get your reseller to take a look. It sounds to me like something is up with the motherboard.
